Why was JaMarcus Russell drafted # 1 in 2007?

Well almost everyone had him rated ahead of Brady Quinn at the time. Everyone loved his ridiculously strong arm and big frame. Also him going to the Raiders didn't help either, I don't think a change of scenary will help either I think his confidence is shot and he has a bad image and reputation of having bad work ethic
